WQ is the new IQ

by Education First

WQ, a new way to think about competence. In today’s globalized world, you can’t compete by only excelling on traditional indicators such as IQ and EQ. Instead, your success depends on your understanding of different cultures and people – your WQ or World Quotient.

We are very happy to invite you to take part of this evening co-hosted by NextGen CH and, EF Education First. Join us to engage in insightful dialogues and learn from each other on the topic of WQ.

“How will technology disrupt your business?”

KEYNOTE SPEAKER Adrian Müller Managing Director HP Switzerland LLC

SPONSORED BY EY

For our first event in 2018 (and our second anniversary), NextGenCH is welcoming Adrian Müller, Managing Director of HP Switzerland LLC to speak about “How will technology disrupt your business?”

Additionally, as a new year’s gift to you, we will be introducing something new to our event format: Unconferences.

An Unconference is primarily focused on you and whatever you want to speak about. It is an open, participatory workshop-event, the content of which is provided by participants. Anyone can address the audience for 15 minutes (approximately 10 minute speech and 5 min Q&A) about any topic. As we will have several rooms set up with concurrently running speeches, participants are free to choose the speech that interests them most. Unlike traditional conference formats, our Unconference has a self-organizing character, relying on the passion and the responsibility of the participants. So, for those of you who want to speak about a topic that you are passionate about, prepare a 10 minute address (no PowerPoint slides) and if you’d like some help on your preparation, give us a shout.

Growing your career and business: Using Gamification and Crowdsourcing (SOLD OUT)

Registration at 6:15 p.m., keynote address 6:30 p.m., followed by cocktail hour
FRORIEP, Bellerivestrasse 201, 8034 Zürich

We at NextGen CH would warmly like to welcome you to our next event, focusing on gamification, engagement, and crowdsourced solutions. As before, we will be combining interesting topics with networking to help you grow your career or business. This special evening will be divided into four parts:

We will start off with a presentation on "Using gamification to better engage your boss, clients, and colleagues". Philippe Sejalon, CEO of Belinguo, uses gamification to better train people on sales techniques, language, and business processes. He will bring his extensive experience on the new and growing technique of gamification to show you how you can apply it to your professional life in order to better work with your stakeholders.

Followed by, “What's on your mind, and how can we the audience help?” We will use the power of the crowd to help out any members of the audience in our crowdsourced solution finder. Anyone who would like to participate on stage is able to do so. Bring with you this evening a work-related issue that you would like the audience to help you; perhaps you have problems with a colleague, or are looking to make a certain contact, or need assistance on some sort of matter. The solution is sitting in the mind of someone in the audience! By lifting your issue to the crowd, the audience will help you find a solution, live! Chatham house rules apply (i.e., your questions and responses will remain confidential).

Third, we will mix the crowd with our Speed Networking, helping you meet people whom you would not normally meet. It was a great success last time!

Finally, our cocktail hour, where general networking and merriment ensue!

Best regards,

NextGen CH Steering committee
